I have 3 children, therefore I know everything there is to know about parenting. Probably.* They are Big Girl (7), Little Girl (5) and Squeak (2). Squeak is not her real name. In fact, I am sure most people have forgotten her real name. But I will get to that another time.
I like to dabble in a bit of everything. I love to bake, especially bread. I like sewing and knitting as well. I’ll read pretty much anything, including sauce bottles and the back of the washing powder box. (You’ll notice none of my hobbies involve exercise. I like sitting.) Occasionally, I try to throw a bit of parenting into the mix too.
Writing is my absolute passion, though. Since I was a child I’ve dreamed of having a career as a writer. I’m currently working out how to get into it, but it’s all a bit daunting and I’m not sure where to start!
I plan to write about the amusing things I experience while parenting my 3 daughters. They are funny and cute and scary and a little creepy. I have very good intentions but somehow I find myself reaching the end of the day looking 20 years older, with a living room that looks like a hurricane blew through it and 3 grimy children who are probably naked.
Nope, definitely naked.
I am also a newbie single parent, so I’ll probably be talking a bit about how much I suck at that as well. Together we can learn how to walk with a child hanging off each leg, how hard it is to keep three kids in one small room long enough to brush all of their teeth, and what exactly to do when a baby gets jealous and starts beating the crap out of her older sisters.
Actually, if you have any ideas on the last one then share away, because short of blocking her, karate-style, nothing else is making her change her dastardly ways.
*This is a lie.
